Tips and Tricks

This section has been devoted to advancing the general knowledge of achieving targeted results in astrophotography.

Various people interested in astrophotography will have different budgets and different expectations. Matching equipment to budget, and potential results with that equipment is an interesting topic for many budding individuals wishing to enter this field of astronomy.

Hopefully this will be made easier with our members documented experiences.

Once articles become available, these articles will be posted here.

Public Viewing Nights

Just to let everyone know, public viewing nights are held every first Friday of the month. Clear or cloudy nights the public viewing night goes ahead. Members man a number of telescopes of various sizes and types, and for those nights where the sky is cloudy, extended astronomical presentations are presented in the MPAS Viewing Centre.

So please come along and enjoy our nights sky.
