Society monthly meeting recorded on 20251119 at The Briars Mount Martha Observatory.
Meeting introduction was by the President, Dr. Peter Skilton.
Vice President, Chris Kostokanellis then presented the Astrophotographic challenge for the month, followed by Committee member, Dr. Guido Tack, presenting the Sky for the Month.
Then member, John Goodall, gave a presentation about Astrophotography using Film.
The main topic was about “The Meaning of Spacetime: Black Holes, Wormholes and Quantum Entanglement”, presented by Prof. Juan Maldacena, Theoretical Physicist, School of Natural Sciences, Institute for Advanced Study, Princeton, New Jersey. This public lecture is courtesy of the Perimeter Institute, Ontario, Canada, and was hosted on 27-Jul-2023 by Dr. Sabrina Pasterski of the Perimeter Institute.
