The Astrophotography Workshop returns in 2026 on Saturday, 3 October 2026 with new and updated content, on Smart Telescope Astrophotography, Aurora and Nightscape Imaging, Star Tracker and Deep Sky Imaging, Remote Imaging and more.
Targeted at beginner & hobbyist photographers (or someone with a keen interest in astronomy or nightscape photography) this event will inspire you to get out and enjoy the night sky. With places strictly limited, early bookings are recommended.
Entry includes a pizza, a drink, practical assistance with your equipment at our registered observatory in Mt Martha as well as a Q&A with the presenters and astronomers.
Camera House Frankston will be attending the event, offering sales and advice on cameras and equipment.
- Bring your camera and tripod to the event.
- Charge your batteries.
- Vegetarian pizza available however those with special dietary needs are welcome to self-cater in our kitchen (hot water, microwave).
- Tea / coffee and biscuits included all day.
- Under 18’s must have a guardian attending.
DwarfLab has generously offered a Dwarf Mini Smart telescope as our main door prize, with every ticket in with a chance to win.
