Society monthly meeting recorded on 20240417 at The Briars Mount Martha Observatory.
Meeting introduction was by the President, Dr. Peter Skilton.
Vice President, Chris Kostokanellis, then presented the AstroMoPho Astronomy Photographic challenge for the month, followed by Committee member, Dr. Guido Tack, with the Sky for the Month.
The main video was then shown on the topic of “Why Do Things Spin?”, presented by Prof. Hugh Hunt, Department of Engineering, Cambridge University. This public lecture from 07-Feb-2020 is courtesy of the Royal Institution in London.
Peter Skilton then presented the following science video: – “Has the James Webb Space Telescope Solved the Crisis in Cosmology?”, courtesy of Dr. Becky Smethurst, Astrophysicist, University of Oxford.
