Society monthly meeting recorded on 20220817 at The Briars Mount Martha Observatory.
Meeting introduction and rundown of past month and upcoming events was given by the President, Dr. Peter Skilton.
The main talk was a public lecture by Dr. Jonathan McDowell, Astrophysicist, Harvard-Smithsonian Centre for Astrophysics, Cambridge, Massachusetts, on the topic of “Space Junk: A Traffic Crisis in Outer Space”.
Vice President, Mark Stephens, then presented “Sky for the Month”, amidst background sound of rain falling on the auditorium.
