Society monthly meeting recorded on 20230215 at The Briars Mount Martha Observatory.

Meeting introduction and rundown of past month and upcoming events was given by the President, Dr. Peter Skilton. In the absence of Chris Kostakanellis, Peter also presented Chris’ slides on the Astro Mo Pho results for the month.

Vice President, Mark Stephens, then presented “Sky for the Month”.

The main talk was a public lecture by Dr. Cameron Hummels, Astrophysicist, California Institute of Technology, on the topic of “The Green Comet in Context” and also “Simulating the Universe on a Supercomputer”. These talks were hosted at the California Institute of Technology, on 20230207 and 20160708 respectively.

Other educational videos were shown by Peter Skilton as follows: “How Artemis was Made”, by Claire Reilly of CNET YouTube channel.
