Society monthly meeting recorded on 20230315 at The Briars Mount Martha Observatory.
Meeting introduction was by Vice President, Mark Stephens, followed by a pre-recorded rundown of past month and upcoming events given by the President, Dr. Peter Skilton, earlier on the day.
Mark Stephens, then presented “Sky for the Month” and Chris Kostokanellis presented the Astro Mo Pho results for the month.
The main talk was a public lecture by Prof. Janna Levin, Astrophysicist, Columbia University, on the topic of “Black Hole Blues and Other Songs from Outer Space”, being about the LIGO Gravity Wave Discovery. This talk was hosted at The Perimeter Institute For Theoretical Physics, Ontario, Canada on 20170503.
