MPAS Meeting October 2023

Society monthly meeting recorded on 20231018 at The Briars Mount Martha Observatory.

Meeting introduction was by the President, Dr. Peter Skilton.

Vice President, Chris Kostokanellis, then presented the AstroMoPho Astronomy Photographic challenge for the month, followed by Committee member, Dr. Guido Tack, with the Sky for the Month.

Next, member Eden White presented Cosmic Corner on the topic of the sound of the Big Bang.

The main video was then shown on the topic of “Our Solar System: How Geology Began”, presented by Prof. Sara Russell, Planetary Scientist & Senior Research Lead at the Natural History Museum, London. This public lecture from 10-February 2021 is courtesy of the Geological Society, London, as part of the International Year of Space and is hosted by Flo Bullough.

Peter Skilton then presented the following science videos:
